I like taking pictures of food I cook/eat. I sometimes draw, paint and craft things for people I love. I live with a man who just so happens to be the love of my life, so it's pretty convenient.
My current priorities are to be healthy, save money for a bigger home and get back to creating things.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
My boyfriend made dinner for us tonight while I was putting the pieces of my current project together. (Trophy for my friends’ 5th Annual Natty Classic Beer Pong Tournament.) I’ve been making these since 2010, and I think I’ve definitely peaked in terms of “where I can take it.” To be fair, though, my friends always tell me 1 month before the tournament that I’ll be making it so it doesn’t really give me that much time! Funny thing is that for the second year in a row, I didn’t know I was again in charge of the trophy-making until I read the Facebook invite for the event. I think my friends just think that I’m someone with enough self-confidence to assume that she’ll always be chosen for special tasks. Silly boys!
I’ve also just finished designing the invitation for my sister’s upcoming bridal shower, so that’s something I can check off the list. It’s simple, but she seems to really like it so yay.
Now I just have 999,999 things left to do…
Sourdough Turkey Sandwich
Sourdough wheat bread, fresh turkey breast cutlet (pan grilled w/ garlic powder & black pepper), roma tomato, spinach, basil pesto, and just a sprinkle of shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
350 calories, 28g protein
I resisted pizza today, guys. Pizza.
Simple But Perfect
Whole-wheat bread, all-natural deli turkey, egg, lots of black pepper, and just a little bit of cheese for extra gooey-ness
Bacon Mac ‘n Cheese Naan Panini
Hot Shots Coffeehouse | Blue Jay, CA
One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, for obvious reasons.
I can never turn down mac ‘n cheese, ever.
Best post-playing in snow meal ♥
Pulled Piggy
BBQ pulled pork, Dave’s Killer Bread, organic greens, hot sauce
This was my attempt at not feeling so guilty about eating a hearty BBQ sandwich. Yum yum.
Finished a commissioned painting a little bit ago. So happy to have lifted that off my plate! Still got a few more little ones to do here & there and I’ll be completely free :)
Veggie Obsession
Whole wheat bread, Morningstar Garden Veggie patty, avocado, roma tomato, organic spinach mix, black pepper
I’ve definitely been very obsessed with Morningstar veggie patties.
THEY’RE DELICIOUS!
EAT Sandwich
All-natural eggs, avocado, tomato, sourdough wheat bread
Power breakfast before Disneyland and a visit to see the boyfriend’s family in the OC.
SUN BLOCK ME.
I haven’t been good with updating my blog, and that’s because so many things have been happening!
1. I finally left my wretched Blackberry for an android phone! Typing on a touchscreen is still a struggle, but I’m slowly adjusting.
2. Subsequently, I’m on Instagram now! I’m a baby and I don’t want to flood other people’s feeds with photos they don’t care to see, so I don’t have too many posted yet. Add me if you wanna be friends: @deedeetantan :)
3. Still drawing and working on random projects here and there. Going to Ikea tonight for more supplies.
4. I recently wrote a review on the Cool Master NotePal I100 cooling pad for a review site! I didn’t have fun with the techie part (testing CPU temperature zzZzzZZz), but I loved the writing part.
5. My best gal’s birthday is coming up in a few days and I’m in the process of putting together her gift, while on a tight budget. A little stressed, but I know she will love anything I make/buy/give her.
6. I’ve been hooked on the Olympics! If I’m home, I’m watching it.
7. My boyfriend and I drove to Bakersfield this past weekend for his sister and dad’s birthdays. While sitting at his parents’ house watching the Olympics, his sister announced that her and her family are moving away :( She had told me before that they’d been thinking about it, but now it’s definitely happening very soon… I’m pretty bummed, and I know my bubz is too, but we’re very excited to visit them when they’re all settled in! I’ll be blogging from New Mexico then!
